Task 3.3 Validation and optimization of the functional molecules extraction and purification methods
Task 3.4 Validation and optimization of secondary streams valorization
OBJECTIVES
To design, fine-tune, test and validate the selected technologies and processes
To establish optimal combinations of the technologies and processes for the extraction and purification of primary and secondary side streams of agrifood waste (sectors: olives, grapes and stone fruits)
To assess the produced combinations in simulated (process model) or operational environment (pilot plant).

WP DESCRIPTION
WP4 aims to conduct process modelling and simulation of the different technologies and their combinations and to integrate them in a unique process with functional molecules for applications in food, feed additives, cosmetics and nutraceutics, and chemical platforms for materials. Here, the overall feasibility of ROBOCOOP is assessed through evaluations of the valorization of secondary streams, the consumption of feedstocks and other chemicals or auxiliary services, the main drawbacks and bottleneck in order to enable a harmonized interpretation of the integrated results.
TASKS
Task 4.1 Bio-refinery modelling and simulation
Task 4.2 Conceptual integration of the bio-refinery at scale 1:1
Task 4.3 Techno-Economic Assessment
OBJECTIVES
To process the data generated in WP3 in order to model and simulate different routes and scenarios forthe bio-refinery at industrial scale (1:1).
To execute the conceptual integration of the bio-refinery and determine the technical requirements
To identify the main costs for the plant (OPEX and CAPEX). The preliminary budget for the execution phaseof the industrial project will be defined and all the potential risks will be evaluated.
